I am a published author and currently promoting my second book entitled America's Financial Reckoning Day. I have been divorced for 18 years and have a financial consulting business I operate from my home office. I like to work out each week to keep physically fit, love to ski each season, and tend to look much younger than my age (or my twin sister). I tend to be an idealist that likes things to work well whether it is a toaster, automobile, relationships, churches, or governments. I am a natural leader in life, and live by the Marine motto: lead, follow, or get out of the way. My sense of humor is a bit whimsical and sometimes sarcastic, and I am known for my quick comebacks (you can't out-quote me). I am a loyal friend (never forget birthdays) and easy to get along with (as long as you always agree with me - just kidding). I love quite evenings with music, a hot grill and some good company – and also mix well in large groups. The only TV I like to watch is news, sports, and an occasional good movie. I despise sitcoms, soaps, and anything with a mind-numbing laugh track. Although I have a kind and gentle nature I would rather afflict the comfortable than comfort the afflicted. I love stimulating/intellectual conversations mixed with humor and wit (usually politics, religion and current events). And although I can be persuasive I am not a control freak. I can spot one in a very short time (just watch them drive in traffic), and I try to avoid them at all cost. Most of my friends are married and they would like to see me with a special person in my life. It seems I have no trouble attracting women and consider myself a good catch in need of some domesticating. Now I am just trusting the good Lord to lead me to that one who will be my best friend, soul mate, and lover. Could it be you? Someone once said that love is blind, but marriage is an eye-opener. Well, I have had my eyes opened, and now I am just looking for an attractive/spiritual lady who will help complete my life and be my loving companion. And if you know Quickbooks and Excell I'll make you a business partner - ha!

I am looking for a sweet, intellectual, affectionate, athletic gal who is comfortable in jeans and an evening gown, and can carry herself well in public. Some essential qualities are kindness, humility, compassion, and "street smarts" (something that can not be taught - you either have it or you don't). I prefer a low maintenance woman who understands and lives by the Golden Rule (Mt. 7:12). I believe that a forgiving heart and good sense of humor is the best way to maintain a strong and loving relationship. Best wishes to you all in your own search.

If you're daring enough we could even try out some skiing at the nearby Sunrise Ski Park or just enjoy the beauty of natural lakes and red sky sunsets with a glass of good Chardonnay (-;

Hang gliding or para gliding. Every time I watch someone do this I am on the edge of my seat and swear before I die I will try it. Of course, you have to be careful what you ask for...but hey I'm a thrill seeker.

I want to assist people in my consulting business, continue writing and lecturing on my favorite subjects - politics, religion and economics. My passion is to reach people with the truth. The truth will set you free (it will also make you weird). We are in a battle for our nation, our freedoms and human souls. Martin Luther said, "Where the battle rages that is where God's servant will be." This is where I will be. It is a lonely battle. The Bible says "two are better than one" (Eccl. 4:9) and I could really use some help in this battle....as in helpmate. Just realize if you sign on for this you are in for the ride of your life, but the Lord is a reliable guide and He is our only hope.

I have covered this elsewhere but I might add that I have a distinct fondness and preference for Asian women (especially Chinese). According to Neil Warren (founder of EHarmony) I have made my list of ten things I must have in a mate and ten things I can't stand as follows; Chemistry, physical features, communication, intelligence, sense of humor, sweet temperament, good character, organizational skills, similar interests and deep spirituality. Things I will avoid are control freaks, unhealthy lifestyles, poor communication skills, naivete, trivial behavior, bad temperament, poor character, disorganization, political liberalism, profanity and atheism. Yes, I have thought this through. I like to think of myself as a hunter and not so much a shopper. I have a fairly good idea of my "determination of fit" as Warren calls it.
