I Would Describe Myself As

I am a published author and currently promoting my second book entitled America's Financial Reckoning Day. I have been divorced for 18 years and have a financial consulting business I operate from my home office. I like to work out each week to keep physically fit, love to ski each season, and tend to look much younger than my age (or my twin sister). I tend to be an idealist that likes things to work well whether it is a toaster, automobile, relationships, churches, or governments. I am a natural leader in life, and live by the Marine motto: lead, follow, or get out of the way. My sense of humor is a bit whimsical and sometimes sarcastic, and I am known for my quick comebacks (you can't out-quote me). I am a loyal friend (never forget birthdays) and easy to get along with (as long as you always agree with me - just kidding). I love quite evenings with music, a hot grill and some good company – and also mix well in large groups. The only TV I like to watch is news, sports, and an occasional good movie. I despise sitcoms, soaps, and anything with a mind-numbing laugh track. Although I have a kind and gentle nature I would rather afflict the comfortable than comfort the afflicted. I love stimulating/intellectual conversations mixed with humor and wit (usually politics, religion and current events). And although I can be persuasive I am not a control freak. I can spot one in a very short time (just watch them drive in traffic), and I try to avoid them at all cost. Most of my friends are married and they would like to see me with a special person in my life. It seems I have no trouble attracting women and consider myself a good catch in need of some domesticating. Now I am just trusting the good Lord to lead me to that one who will be my best friend, soul mate, and lover. Could it be you? Someone once said that love is blind, but marriage is an eye-opener. Well, I have had my eyes opened, and now I am just looking for an attractive/spiritual lady who will help complete my life and be my loving companion. Martin Luther said, "Where the battle rages that is where God's servant will be." This is where I will be. It is a lonely battle.
